Summary

Sun-Pac Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a driven and strategic territory sales professional/business development manager to identify and close new business opportunities, grow sales with existing clients, and represent the company in the dietary supplement / nutritional manufacturing space. This role combines technical knowledge, client-facing communication, and strategic account development. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, commercially savvy, with strong communication skills, and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new customers in the dietary supplement/health & wellness industry that can utilize Sun-Pac’s services. (formulation, custom manufacturing, packaging, etc.)
  • Build and execute an action plan to approach and secure new business, including cold calls, networking, and attending trade shows.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with new and existing clients; ensure satisfaction, repeat business, and upsell opportunities.
  • Consult with clients to understand their product goals (formulation, dosage, delivery form, desired certifications such as non-GMO, organic, etc.), recommend solutions, and guide them through Sun-Pac’s development/manufacturing process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, production, regulatory) to ensure the feasibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness of offered services.
  • Analyze market trends, current supplement regulations, emerging ingredients, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to help shape product development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Represent Sun-Pac at trade shows, industry conferences, and customer meetings.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and quotations.
  • Implement and maintain accurate records in CRM (customer and sales activity, lead status, forecasts).

Requirements:

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Nutrition, etc.) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years territory-based sales or business development experience in the dietary supplements, contract manufacturing, nutraceuticals or similar regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of supplement/dietary product development and manufacturing: dosage forms (capsules, tablets, powders), regulatory/compliance matters, quality standards (e.g., cGMP, non-GMO, organic).
  • Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; able to quickly assess feasibility, risk, cost, and timeline of projects.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office programs; ability to produce business proposals, forecasts, and reports.
