COMPANY OVERVIEW: Our client is a leading provider of field fabrication and onsite mechanical services, delivering ASME expert welding, vessel modifications, pipe fabrication, cladding/CRO, flange facing PMI (Positive Material Identification) testing and emergency support Their field services team supports critical projects within the refining, petrochemical, chemical, and industrial markets with high-quality execution and a strong commitment to safety and reliability.

POSITION TITLE: Business Development Manager

LOCATION: Oklahoma City, OK

SUMMARY: Business Development Manager will be responsible for expanding our client’s presence across refining, petrochemical, power, and process industries. This role focuses on identifying, engaging, and securing new customers while strengthening existing relationships. The ideal candidate will understand mechanical and field fabrication services, from emergency welding support to vessel modification and onsite testing and will use this knowledge to drive revenue and market expansion.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and manage strong relationships with prospective and existing clients across refining, petrochemical, gas processing, and power markets.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities within field fabrication and field services, including specialty welding, vessel installation/removal, piping, PMI and turnaround support.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan that increases revenue, supports long-term growth, and aligns with the company’s goals.
  • Lead proposal and bid efforts, including pre-qualification forms, RFIs, and RFPs for major field services projects.
  • Negotiate and secure agreements with key accounts while maintaining detailed account plans and customer records.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, technical conferences, customer site visits, and professional events.
  • Collaborate with field services and operations teams to stay informed on service capabilities, safety programs, and ongoing projects.
  • Maintain current knowledge of market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to ensure the company remains well-positioned within the industry.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of sales or business development experience selling mechanical, field fabrication, or industrial services to refining, petrochemical, chemical, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong contact base within refining and petrochemical markets, with the ability to build trust across all organizational levels.
  • Experience with or understanding mechanical field services such as welding, PMI testing, ASME-code work, or vessel/piping services is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong presentation and negotiation abilities.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable with frequent client engagement and travel.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM tools.
