Job description

Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our engineering firm as Business Development Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and representing the company brand to a broad spectrum of markets.


Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and deliver new business opportunities through in-person and virtual sales calls, networking, and other forms of lead generation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners
  • Positively represent the Davis & Floyd brand at industry conferences, networking events, and corporate functions. Overnight travel will occasionally be required
  • Work closely with business development leadership and teammates
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to convert opportunities to signed contracts and ensure client requirements are met
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to assist in messaging, social media, strategy, and presentation preparation
  • Use a company provided CRM to track contacts, leads, client communications and deals
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the architecture, engineering, and/or construction fields
  • Working knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Skilled in tactful persistence
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid Driver's License required
