Summary

An experienced Director of Business Development focused on Intelligence Community customers in Maryland is sought by AV. The successful candidate will manage the relationship between mainly the Maryland Procurement Office (MPO), the USCYBERCOMMAND, as well as other US Intel customers and the company. The candidate will help drive new business within the Intelligence Operations and Solutions Business Unit. This involves collaborating with people inside and outside of your organization and working closely with AV's Senior Leadership Team to drive new business growth for the business. Position Responsibilities

  • Understand and articulate customer needs into service and/or product offerings to build, maintain and drive a new business pipeline for the Intel Portfolio, Intelligence Operations and Solutions Business Unit
  • Evaluate business opportunities by regularly conducting pipeline reviews, gate reviews, and due diligence activities with customers and industry partners while actively contributing to and executing on overall growth strategies
  • Primarily lead MPO and USCYBERCOMMAND growth activities by facilitating business opportunities through the business acquisition process
  • Coordinate closely with profit and loss (P&L) stakeholders to ensure alignment of technology and strategic growth strategies, resources, and new business priorities and customers missions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and industry partners
  • Develop strong relationships with internal technical and operational leads to act as a bridge between Operations and Growth
  • Contribute to IC Growth Strategy by supporting strategic captures, meaningfully contributing to proposals efforts, white papers, and investment planning to drive technical innovation and differentiation in competitive pursuits and customer engagement
  • Lead, participate and travel to trade shows, conferences, and customer engagements


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

  • Active TS/SCI with full scope polygraph security clearance
  • Minimum of 10 years' direct experience with the MPO and USCYBERCOMMAND customers
  • Understanding of cyber operations, SIGINT, and software tool development capabilities.
  • Proven record of pursuing and winning new business opportunities of significant size, and complexity of scope
  • Demonstrated ability to earn trust and respect of key customers including successfully managing difficult/delicate customer conversations. Strong interpersonal communication skills to interact at executive levels of Government and industry
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from an accredited college or university

The salary range for this role is:

$167,500 - $268,000
