Commercial Lines Account Manager

As an Account Manager, you will be the main contact for our clients. You will build relationships with your team and clients while assisting them with customer service and ensuring their needs are met. You will have continuous learning and development opportunities to work towards your career goals.
Your job responsibilities as an Account Manager:
  • Provide exceptional service with accuracy in processing renewals, endorsements, policies, and audits by agency required timelines. Ensures timely processing of invoices and client requests.
  • Work with client/team on gathering marketing data, preserving quotes, client/carrier correspondence and updated client information in agency management system.
  • Prepares and implements all transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accounts.
  • Obtain quotes from carriers for new and existing business. Review initial carrier proposals for accuracy and prepare initial client documents.
  • Prepares reports, proposal and comparisons for team as required.
  • Advanced knowledge of carrier online systems for obtaining quotes, loss runs, billing information, policy documents, etc.
  • Acts as liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve service issues.
  • Follow HUB's Broker Standards policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college or university preferred.
  • One year of experience related to commercial lines account management preferred.
  • Experience with Epic and other insurance related software preferred.
  • Earned and ability to maintain state property and casualty insurance license required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of minimum qualifications.
  • Knowledge of insurance agency operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with a great attitude, self-motivation and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
  • Must be thorough, detail-oriented and is responsible for working with confidential information.
  • Ability to accommodate immediate requests, perform under short deadlines and coordinate multiple jobs.
  • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
