(B2B Agency Experience Required)


Position Overview

RedRover is seeking a strategic, growth-focused Account Director with proven agency experience in the B2B space. This role is designed for a seasoned account leader who independently owns client relationships, drives measurable results, and actively grows accounts.

The Account Director serves as the primary strategic lead for assigned accounts and is accountable for performance, retention, and expansion.


Reporting to the Director of Client Services (DCS), the Account Director owns the strategy, performance, and growth of a portfolio of B2B client accounts.


This role requires someone who:

  • Can confidently lead client strategy conversations independently
  • Operates with detail, thought and timeliness with minimal oversight
  • Proactively identifies growth opportunities
  • Protects scope, budget, and profitability within agreed upon timelines
  • Delivers client goals with operational rigor while identifying foreseeable challenges before client is affected


Key Responsibilities

Independent Account Ownership

  • Serve as the primary strategic point of contact for assigned accounts
  • Lead weekly client calls, monthly look back/look forward meetings, quarterly business reviews, and performance discussions, along with annual planning
  • Translate business objectives into integrated marketing strategies.
  • Ensure all deliverables align with agreed KPIs and business outcomes.
  • Maintain disciplined communication with clients and internal teams.
  • Work with internal teams to develop, maintain and adhere to schedules and plans as outlined by outcomes team and client SOW

Revenue Growth & Retention

  • Identify and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Drive account expansion through strategic recommendations.
  • Maintain scope integrity and proactively address scope creep.
  • Contribute to forecasting and ensure accounts remain profitable.
  • Protect long-term client retention through proactive leadership.

Operational Discipline

  • Develop clear briefs and strategic direction for internal teams.
  • Ensure effective use of Wrike and project management systems.
  • Anticipate risks and resolve issues before they escalate.
  • Demonstrate extreme ownership and accountability in all commitments.


Qualifications

  • 6-8+ years in a marketing agency environment (B2B required).
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing multiple client accounts.
  • Experience leading client strategy conversations without senior oversight.
  • Strong collaborator and communicator
  • Proven track record of account management, retention and growth of existing accounts
  • Self starter, takes ideas from concept to execution, navigating feedback like a pro from internal teams and clients
  • Thrives in fast paced environment, responding quickly and proactively
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing (SEO, PPC, paid media, content).
