Description
The Legal Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Legal Department and reports directly to the Legal Operations Lead. This position is intended for a current college student or recent graduate seeking foundational experience in the legal field. The role supports day-to-day legal operations through document preparation, file management, scheduling, and general administrative assistance while operating in a confidential, professional environment. Training will be provided.
What you'll be Doing
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to attorneys and legal staff.
  • Prepare, format, proofread, and distribute legal documents and correspondence.
  • Organize, maintain, and update physical and electronic case files and records.
  • Assist with data entry, filing, and document management.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, manage emails, and handle internal and external inquiries.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and other legal-related activities.
  • Coordinate mail distribution, courier services, and office supplies for Legal Department.
  • Support preparation of reports, memos, and other confidential documents.
  • Assist with Legal Dashboard updates, invoice tracking, and expense reporting as assigned.
  • Perform additional administrative duties and special projects as needed.
