Job Summary
We’re looking to hire a hard-working Janitor with significant experience who can maintain the cleanliness and safety of our building and handle management tasks/supervising staff. You’ll be responsible for all cleaning duties including dusting, disinfecting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, offices, kitchen areas, hallways, entry ways, emptying trash and more. The ideal candidate has a great work ethic, has experience managing others in a similar capacity, has a flexible schedule and experience with cleaning equipment and supplies, and takes pride in a job well done. The ideal candidate works very well with people and knows how to work alongside them as well as motivate them.
Responsibilities 
  • Pick up dirty laundry and take to the laundromat
  • Deliver clean laundry/supplies to buildings
  • Check buildings after they've been cleaned
  • Train new staff
  • Meet with clients
  • Pick up shifts when necessary/assigned
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building
  • Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust furniture, and empty trash cans daily
  • Clean windows, supply restrooms, report issues, request supplies
  • Wipe up spills and other hazards with sponges and squeegees
  • Secure the building by locking doors once cleaning is complete
  • Write reports of areas cleaned and notify the manager of major repairs
  • Autoscrubbing
  • Fill-in for staff in case of call-offs
Qualifications
  • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 6 years of experience in janitorial services
  • Driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from the worksite
  • Experience with a variety of cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment
  • Excellent stamina and physical health
  • Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic
  • Ability to pass a background check
