The Classroom Student Worker is a student position needed daily in the morning from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. This position reports to the Classroom Manager/Campus Facilities Inspector. The CSW will be responsible for the classrooms within their assigned building. The CSW will ensure that all furnishings and academic amenities are available in each academic space within their assigned building.

Job Description Summary:
JOB SUMMARY:
These students will be responsible for the setting and basic maintenance of classrooms throughout the Campus at the onset of each day. Duties assigned are to ensure all furnishings are in proper placement, and clean. Responsibilities are not limited to ensuring that all academic spaces within their assigned buildings but are also well inventoried with necessary amenities- ie- White board markers, eraser, etc... They will see that whiteboards are properly cleaned and erased. They will also ensure that all classroom technology is in proper working order. The CSW will report any issues or concerns regarding technology, cleanliness, and over-operation issues to the Classroom Manager, as well as any needs for custodial assistance. In addition, the CSW will have access to a supply closet that act as a central storage space for all necessary items for the classroom. As this is a new position, it may be necessary to add additional duties to accommodate the needs of this position.
JOB DUTIES:
1. Resets academic spaces to be ready for faculty prior to classes.
2. Ensures cleanliness of academic spaces, including but not limited to wiping down and erasing whiteboards, and other furnishings if necessary.
3. Ensures that trash receptacles are empty and that the classroom itself is presentable and neat, i.e. no trash in room, or CSW will request custodial assistance.
4. Restocks classroom amenities as needed, including whiteboard markers, erasers, etc...
5. Reports on issues that require repair within Academic spaces.
6. Will have access to a central location of supplied inventory to replenish classrooms and will advise on replenishing needs to inventory as needed.
Requirements:
Position is open to all students, This position meets daily from 7AM until 9AM. The student will be expected to report daily and report to classrooms of their assigned building(s). Student will be responsible for ensuring classroom is clean, presentable, furnishings are straightened, and that any amenities, i.e. chalk, markers, erasers are available. When necessary, they will communicate any furniture, custodial, or maintenance issues to the classroom manager.

The position requires minimal lifting, moving furniture when necessary, considerable walking. The student will be granted access to supply locations to replenish classrooms as needed.
