Grounds Maintenance Production Manager
Classification: Salaried, Overtime Exempt
Reports To: Area Manager
Schedule: Year-Round,Full-time

Position Overview
The Grounds Maintenance Production Manager oversees multiple field teams and ensures all landscape maintenance operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract specifications and quality standards. This role provides leadership to Supervisors, coordinates scheduling and logistics, and serves as the primary liaison between field operations and the Area Manager. The Production Manager is responsible for resource planning, performance oversight, and adherence to company policies and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple maintenance crews and Supervisors to ensure timely and high-quality completion of assigned contracts.
  • Plan and coordinate daily and weekly schedules, materials, and equipment needs across projects.
  • Perform regular site visits and audits to evaluate quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
  • Communicate with the Area Manager regarding project progress, client needs, and operational priorities.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Supervisors, promoting professional growth and accountability.
  • Lead training initiatives for new hires and continued skill development for field staff.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, use, and storage of company vehicles and equipment in coordination with the Mechanic.
  • Oversee implementation of safety policies, conduct safety meetings, and monitor incident prevention practices.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to scheduling, project tracking, and employee performance.
  • Perform additional operational or administrative duties as assigned by the Area Manager.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supervising or managing landscape maintenance crews or similar field operations.
  • Degree or certification in Landscape Management, Horticulture, or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of ornamental plants, turf management, and commercial landscaping practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple crews and prioritize operational demands across job sites.
  • Proficiency with scheduling, tracking, or project management software.
  • Valid driver's license with an offense-free driving record; ability to travel between sites as required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills a plus.

Work Schedule and Classification
This is a full-time salaried, overtime exempt position.
Schedules are designed to support the demands of specific projects assigned.
