JOB OVERVIEW

The Returns Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring a positive customer experience by managing all aspects of product returns. From inspecting returned goods to processing refunds and coordinating replacements, this position helps keep our operations smooth and our customers satisfied. You'll work closely with the customer care and warehouse teams while helping drive continuous improvements in the returns process.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process returned items and ensure accurate documentation.

  • Evaluate product condition and eligibility for refund, replacement, or disposal.

  • Issue refunds or coordinate replacement shipments per company policy.

  • Collaborate with customer care to resolve return-related concerns.

  • Maintain detailed return records and analyze trends for process improvement.

  • Manage disposition of returned goods (repair, restock, or scrap).

  • Update inventory systems to reflect return transactions.


REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Previous experience in returns processing, inventory control, or customer service preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with returns/inventory software a plus.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to lift and move returned items (up to 50 lbs.).

  • Stand for extended periods during return inspections and processing.

  • Perform repetitive tasks including item checks and data entry.
