Job Title: Dispatcher

Location: Bentonville, Arkansas

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week

Pay Rate: $18.00/Hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Dispatcher to support transportation and logistics operations in a fast-paced environment. This role focuses on managing transportation-related claims, coordinating with carriers and drivers, maintaining accurate records, and supporting operational efficiency through effective communication and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve transportation-related claims, including overages, shortages, damages, and refusals (OS&D)
  • Communicate with drivers, carriers, and transportation partners to gather information and facilitate claim resolution
  • Review and evaluate claim documentation and determine appropriate product disposition
  • Collaborate with transportation, operations, customer service, warehousing, inventory, quality, and other internal teams
  • Maintain and update transportation management systems and active claim worklists
  • Obtain, review, and validate Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation
  • Process documentation and distribute records to appropriate stakeholders
  • Monitor carrier-related charges and transportation expenses
  • Conduct audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures
  • Generate reports and maintain operational metrics
  • Analyze issues, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements
  • Maintain accurate records while ensuring confidentiality and professionalism
Required Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of office, administrative, or clerical experience required
  • 3+ years of related experience preferred
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, customer service, or claims processing preferred
  • Experience with reporting, data analysis, and documentation preferred
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite:

  • Experience with transportation management systems preferred
