Job description

IT Help Desk Support

Civitas Senior Living
Based in Fort Worth, Texas Full-Time

Help keep our teams connected, productive, and supported.

Technology touches nearly every part of the work we do at Civitas Senior Living. We are looking for an IT Support Specialist who enjoys solving problems, helping people, and learning new technology.

In this role, you will be one of the first people our team members turn to when something is not working. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, deploy laptops and mobile devices, respond to access requests, resolve printer issues, and help employees navigate the technology they need to do their jobs.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong technical foundation who wants to continue developing their skills and build a career in IT.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employees experiencing technology issues.

  • Troubleshoot common hardware, software, network, and peripheral problems.

  • Assist with software installation, configuration, and problem resolution.

  • Deploy and configure laptops, iPhones, tablets, and other technology.

  • Respond to employee access requests associated with new hires, ongoing support, and terminations.

  • Serve as a first responder for printer-related support requests.

  • Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate team member when needed.

  • Partner with the broader IT team to identify recurring problems and share solutions and best practices.

  • Learn new hardware, software, platforms, and technology as they are introduced.

  • Help develop user guides, instructions, and other technical documentation.

  • As your knowledge grows, help train employees on the effective use of hardware and software.

  • Assist users who may require adaptive technology or additional support.

What We’re Looking For

You do not need to know everything on day one. We are looking for someone who combines technical aptitude with a genuine service mindset.

Successful candidates will bring:

  • A strong working knowledge of computers, laptops, network devices, peripherals, and common software.

  • Approximately two years of related work experience using and supporting multiple software applications preferred.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • The ability to explain technical issues clearly to people with different levels of technology experience.

  • Strong interpersonal and telephone skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools.

  • The ability to stay organized while managing multiple support requests.

  • A willingness to learn, accept feedback, and continue building technical expertise.

The Person Who Will Thrive Here

You may be a great fit if you are the person others already call when their technology is not working. You are patient without being passive, curious enough to investigate a problem, and persistent enough to see it through.

You understand that great IT support is not just about fixing technology—it is about helping people get back to doing their best work.

Build Your Technical Career at Civitas

This role includes a learning path for continued technical development, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to strengthen their IT capabilities while gaining hands-on experience supporting a diverse organization.

If you enjoy solving problems, working with people, and learning something new every day, we would like to hear from you.

Apply today to join the Civitas Senior Living team.

Physical Requirements

This position involves prolonged periods working at a desk and computer and requires the ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
