Job Title: Leave of Absence SpecialistJob Description
This role involves overseeing and assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Absence Management Programs. The specialist will provide case management, develop educational materials, and create procedures for long-term and short-term placement of employees. The role focuses on promoting quality, cost-effective outcomes while coordinating the Disability Intervention Program. Additionally, the specialist will guide other professionals to facilitate Absence Management processes and work towards the successful return of team members to work.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Absence Management Programs.
  • Provide case management and develop educational materials for employee placement.
  • Create and develop procedures for long-term and short-term employee placement.
  • Promote quality and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Disability Intervention Program.
  • Provide guidance to other professionals in the facilitation of Absence Management processes.
  • Facilitate and monitor the successful return to work of team members.
Essential Skills
  • 5-7 years of experience in leave administration.
  • Experience with FMLA, Worker's Compensation, ADAAA laws, LTD, STD, and Cobra.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Healthcare industry experience is advantageous.
  • CPDM (Certified Professional Disability Management) and CLMS (Certified Leave Management Specialist) certifications preferred.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence for training for 2-3 weeks initially, followed by remote work. Attendance onsite is required 2-3 days a month for meetings, though these days will not be consecutive. Therefore, candidates must be within driving distance to downtown Indianapolis.

This is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $45.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
