About the Role:
We are currently looking for a Project Engineer - Pavement Resurfacing. This person will be responsible for overseeing the daily delivery of project engineering and project management services throughout the construction project process.
What You'll Do:
  • Responsible for leading and ensuring the effective delivery of all day-to-day project engineering and project management functions for the duration of the construction project.
  • Collaborate and work closely with the Contracting Officer (CO), Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and Construction Operations Engineer (COE) on specific task orders.
  • Engage and coordinate with partner agencies, resource agencies, landowners, and other key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and smooth project progress.
  • Manage and oversee construction and project activities to ensure objectives are met on time and within budget.
  • Ensure that assigned projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality outcomes and providing periodic progress reports as required.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture by modeling safe behavior in alignment with company expectations and ensuring consistent adherence to all project safety rules.
  • Manage and oversee all work assigned throughout every phase of the project.

What Is Required:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil Engineering or Bachelor's in civil engineering
  • Five years of on-site project administration in a project lead position such as project engineer or project manager

The incumbent in this position can typically expect to sit and use his/her hands to handle and feel for more than 1/3 of the day. He/she can expect to stand or walk for more than 2/3 of the day. Talking and listening are also expected for more than 2/3 of the day. The ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, or reach with arms will be needed for less than 2/3 of the day.
This position requires that the incumbent be able to lift items up to 70 pounds on an infrequent basis.
The incumbent in this position should have clear vision at 20 inches or less. He/she should be able to view various reports and forms as well as information displayed on a computer monitor and have the ability to distinguish between different colors. Depth perception, peripheral vision, the ability to focus, and the ability to see from a distance are also necessary.
