Meat Room Cutter - NO WEEKENDS - F/T Monday Through Friday
1st Shift - 7am To 3:30pm*
Schedule - Monday - Friday
3 Years of Experience Required
Position Summary: Looking to add another meat cutter to our team. Experience is REQUIRED, a minimum of 3 years. Prepare meat in salable sizes and condition for wrapping. Portion Cut, trim and otherwise prepare meats and place on trays. Operate saws and other meat processing machinery. Must have excellent accurate portioning skills with a knife and a high rate of productivity cutting steaks. Inspect, sort and grade meat products. Inspect displayed products for expired dates and remove when necessary.
Responsibilities:
Operate Power Pallet Jacks, Box Cutters, Wrapping Machines, Cry - O - Vac, and other equipment in safe manner.
Maintain communication with coworkers and supervisors.
Report to work on time as scheduled.
Pay attention to detail. Follow directions precisely.
Utilize proper safety equipment.
Utilize Lockout/Tagout procedure.
Select products for special orders.
Keep Meat Room and equipment clean and organized. Stack pallets properly.
Sweeping, dusting and/or mopping as needed.
Maintain Food Safety standards regarding cleanliness and hygiene both facility and personal.
Position Requirements
Requirements:
Prior experience working in refrigerated warehouse or another food/beverage warehouse.
Ability to perform basic math functions.
Ability to understand and follow direction exactly.
Experience utilizing Windows based operating systems preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with others.
