Job description

River City Bank is seeking a full-time bank teller and customer service representative. You will work in a River City Bank branch, independently and with your branch team. You will have excellent communication skills, give attention to detail and have an aptitude for numbers. In this position, you will operate a teller window, welcoming our customers and serving them by processing a variety of transactions, requests and problem solving

Essential job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Cash handling working experience, preferred
  • Promote cross-sell bank products and services
  • Provide exceptional service to all customers both internal and external
  • Process transactions: deposits, withdrawals, cashier’s checks, payments, wire transfers, prepaid cards, etc.
  • Responsible for balancing cash and general ledgers as required by policy or process
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Honest and trustworthy
  • Collaborate and brainstorm to improve bank processes and procedures
  • Maintain knowledge of the bank policies and financial center procedures and take responsibility to keep up to date on any changes
  • Handle consumer and business customer requests with professionalism, directing more complex issues seamlessly to the lead customer service representative or other leadership as necessary
  • Demonstrate sound judgement in decision making, abiding appropriately to established guidelines and procedures
  • Serve as a bank representative in professional, business and community organizations to promote bank services.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • Minimum of one year working experiences in a customer service position, required
  • Bank teller experience, preferred
  • Previous experience working directly with the public, preferred
  • Position involves extensive cash handling, which requires ability to perform math ability to balance regularly
  • Position involves contact with the public, necessitating the ability to present a professional image
  • Must have the ability to interact comfortably and confidently with the public and demonstrate the initiative to initiate dialogue
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software products, preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Sufficient computer literacy
