Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Project Manager to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Center for Information Technology (CIT) for the Business Applications Services (BAS) Program, specifically for Web Services. Web Services supports API development, integration workflows, and enterprise connectivity across NIH applications. The Project Manager leads work planning, sprint execution, communication routing, and release coordination for API and integration tasks.

This role works closely with integration engineers, developers, analysts, CIT service owners, and BAS teams to plan and deliver updates to Web Services.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Planning Web Services work assignments and release schedules
  • Coordinating integration tasks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication
  • Supporting sprint activities and iterative planning
  • Conducting contract reporting and oversight of technical documentation updates
  • Supporting requirements, design, development, testing, and release activity
  • Guiding coordination with system owners consuming Web Services integrations
  • Supporting onboarding for new personnel
  • Coordinating risks, issues, and planning cycles aligned to integration demands

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an IT Project Manager
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing IT projects of similar size and complexity using similar technologies
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading projects in agile or iterative EPLCs
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading IT projects for the Federal Government
  • Ability to work with key owners and stakeholders supporting application integration
  • Ability to lead teams in analyzing and adopting new technologies quickly
  • Solid understanding of Requirements, Design, Implementation, Testing, and EPLC
  • Ability to obtain and maintain NIH Public Trust

Desired Skills:

  • Experience supporting NIH or CIT environments
  • Experience supporting API development or integration platforms
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

The likely salary range for this position is $144,500 - $195,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
