Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Cisco VoIP Installation Technician to support the deployment, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Cisco voice and unified communications solutions in the Indianapolis, Indiana area. This position requires onsite attendance five days per week and is ideal for a technician who enjoys customer-facing work, enterprise voice deployments, and telecommunications infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and deploy Cisco IP phones and associated VoIP hardware.
  • Perform voice service moves, adds, changes, and disconnects.
  • Support Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) deployments and upgrades.
  • Install and troubleshoot voice gateways, analog gateways, and related equipment.
  • Test and resolve VoIP registration, connectivity, and call quality issues.
  • Coordinate site readiness activities and validate voice network requirements.
  • Install, label, terminate, and test voice and network cabling.
  • Participate in voice migrations, cutovers, and system upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations, inventory, and configurations.
  • Collaborate with network engineering teams to support VLAN, DHCP, DNS, and Quality of Service requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to end users.
  • Follow change management, safety, and security procedures.



Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of Cisco VoIP installation and support experience.
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM).
  • Experience deploying and troubleshooting Cisco IP Phones.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts.
  • Knowledge of VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and Quality of Service.
  • Experience supporting SIP trunking and voice gateway solutions.
  • Ability to read network diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. 
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Cisco Unity Connection.
  • Experience with Cisco CUBE and voice gateway technologies.
  • Structured cabling experience.
  • Experience supporting enterprise voice migration projects.
  • Experience integrating Cisco voice environments with Microsoft Teams Voice solutions.
