What You Will Do
- JOB SUMMARY
The SAP S/4HANA Test Manager - Americas is a hands-on testing leadership role responsible for coordinating and executing testing activities across 60+ spokes. This role works on the ground alongside the Testing Tower Lead, serving as the day-to-day onsite testing point of contact for business users, system integrator teams, and the global testing organization. The primary focus of this role is UAT coordination and execution, where local business users from manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and market offices validate the SAP S/4HANA solution against their operational requirements. The Test Manager will guide non-technical business testers through execution, manage defect resolution in real time, coordinate spoke-level testing logistics, and ensure quality gates are met before go-live. This role also supports SIT execution, defect management, and test reporting across the full testing lifecycle. The Test Manager partners closely with manufacturing and supply chain business teams, global process owners, SI partners, and the global testing team to deliver a high-quality, on-time testing outcome.
- WHAT YOU WILL DO
UAT Coordination & Business Tester Support - Coordinate UAT planning, execution across 60+ spokes, working directly with local business users from factory, market teams. Serve as hands-on onsite contact for UAT testers in Greensboro, providing test script walkthroughs, real-time troubleshooting, execution guidance. Schedule, manage business tester availability, assignments, workload leveling across departments and spoke locations. Track UAT execution progress by spoke, module, scenario, maintaining real-time visibility for the Testing Tower Lead and program leadership
Spoke Coordination & Follow-Up - Manage spoke-level testing logistics, ensuring each location's unique configurations, tax rules, regulatory requirements, local processes are covered in test scope. Drive daily follow-ups with spoke teams, SI partners, functional consultants to ensure test execution stays on track, blockers are resolved. Maintain spoke readiness tracker, providing RAG status across all locations for steering committee reviews. Coordinate across time zones with global testing team (UK), IBM offshore teams (India) to align dependencies, handoffs
Defect Management & Triage - Own day-to-day defect lifecycle management, ensuring defects are logged, categorized, assigned, tracked to resolution. Facilitate daily defect triage meetings with business testers, consultants, functional teams to prioritize, resolve issues. Monitor defect resolution against SLAs, escalate breaches to Testing Tower Lead. Track defect trends by category to identify systemic issues. Coordinate resolved defects retesting, manage regression cycles
SIT Execution Support - Support the Testing Tower Lead in coordinating SIT Cycle execution across functional areas including Manufacturing / Production Planning, Quality Management, Materials Management, Extended Warehouse Management, Sales & Distribution, Financial integration, Coordinate handoffs between development, configuration, testing teams, execute hands-on testing during critical phases when required, Test Reporting & Stakeholder Communication, Publish daily, weekly test status reports including: Execution progress by module, spoke, Defect metrics, trends, aging, Risks, issues, mitigation plans, Entry/exit criteria status. • Serve as the testing point of contact, coordinate during execution phases, Support go/no-go decisions with data-driven quality assessments
Test Data, Environment & Tools - Coordinate test environment readiness, data refresh cycles, deployment schedules with technical teams, ensure consistent use of qTest for test case management, Jira for defect tracking, Maintain test evidence, completion artifacts per program governance standards
Qualifications
- REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• 8+ years of SAP testing experience, including SAP S/4HANA programs
• Proven experience as a Test Manager, Test Lead, or Senior Test Coordinator on large SAP implementations
• Strong hands-on background in functional, integration, UAT, and regression testing
• Experience leading or coordinating UAT with non-technical business users
• Experience supporting manufacturing-centric SAP deployments
• Experience working within structured, global transformation programs with SI partners
Skills & Capabilities
• Strong functional understanding of SAP manufacturing and logistics processes
• Experience with enterprise-level test management and defect tracking tools (qTest, Jira)
• Ability to coordinate multiple parallel activities across spoke locations, functional areas, and teams
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex SAP configurations into simple steps for business users
• Strong follow-up discipline with a delivery-focused, hands-on mindset
• Comfortable working alongside business users on the ground during execution
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience delivering global SAP S/4HANA templates across multiple sites
• Manufacturing or consumer goods industry background
• Multi-site or phased rollout testing experience
• Understanding of ECC-to-S/4HANA changes (Business Partners, Universal Journal, Fiori UI)
• Experience with Blue Yonder, CG Cloud, or other integrated supply chain platforms

Annual Base Salary Range: $103761.00 - $138347.00
