Description

The BaaS Accounting Analyst job family supports the accounting, reconciliation, invoicing, contract monitoring, control execution, and financial reporting processes associated with FinTech and Banking as a Service relationships. Positions within this job family are responsible for ensuring BaaS activity is reviewed, documented, invoiced, and reported accurately and timely, while supporting effective internal controls, partner onboarding, issue resolution, audit readiness, and process sustainability. Career progression within the family reflects increasing complexity, independence, technical judgment, cross-functional influence, and leadership - from executing defined accounting tasks to advising on complex partner arrangements, strengthening scalable processes, and serving as a senior subject matter resource for BaaS Accounting Operations.

BaaS Accounting Analyst

  • Perform assigned daily BaaS reconciliation activities, including reviewing program activity, applying established matching logic, researching exceptions, and escalating unresolved items timely.
  • Support accurate and timely invoicing for BaaS relationships by reviewing source data, validating invoice inputs, and assisting with contract-based billing requirements.
  • Prepare assigned reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation in accordance with established procedures and close timelines.
  • Assist with research and resolution of invoice discrepancies, reconciliation breaks, and data quality issues impacting BaaS accounting processes.
  • Support internal and external audit requests by gathering documentation, responding to routine information requests, and maintaining organized support files.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant accounting, finance, reconciliation, audit, operations, or financial analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field preferred.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, financial data review, and supporting documentation requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with financial systems, reporting tools, and large data sets with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication, organization, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with the ability to follow established procedures and meet recurring deadlines.

Travel Requirement

This position requires some travel to support business needs, including team collaboration, internal trainings, and cross-functional initiatives. The frequency and duration of travel will vary based on organizational priorities and team needs.
