Overview
This is 100% remote position. CHLA requires a primary residence in California prior to start date.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Information Security Engineer II serves a crucial role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of CHLA's information assets and technology resources. They will serve as a subject matter expert for the operations team and will provide support for other information security engineers and the information security architect. Responsibilities include planning, designing, implementing and operationalizing security solutions aligned with CHLA policies and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 3-5 years of relevant work experience required.
Knowledge of the following:
  • Knowledge and use of VPN, IPSec, DES encryption, Digital Certificates, SSL, TCP/IP, DNS, DMZ and web security architecture, Nmap, Nessus, CoreImpact, CyberArk, Q1, Webinspect, Snort, or related products and applications.
  • Knowledge of information security standards, rules and regulations related to information security and data confidentiality (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH, etc.) and desktop, server, workstation, application, database, network security principles for risk identification and analysis.
  • Knowledge of business process standards and policies (ITIL, LEAN, Six Sigma).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal and consultative skills.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience required. Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. CISSP or GIAC certifications or equivalent preferred. Training and certification on network equipment and protocols preferred.
Pay Scale Information
$122,573.13-$152,506.00
CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
