The Anduril Battlespace Awareness Radar team develops innovative and differentiated radar solutions to tackle significant security challenges for America and its allies. We are looking for highly collaborative engineers that will bring significant expertise, experience and energy to the team's endeavors.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a Chief Engineer to own stakeholder engagement, product definition, technical road map planning, and design and development approach. This is a unique role requiring you to develop a deep understanding of customer needs and challenges, the capabilities of our radar engineering teams, and current and future radar technologies. With this understanding you'll collaborate with the head of radar, engineering functional leads, strategic growth leads, division leadership and customers to define and develop critical radar product offerings.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, customer stakeholders, and industry partners to gather insights, align objectives, and secure buy-in for the radar product you are responsible for.
  • Technical ownership: Drive radar architecture and product development strategies through understanding of technical tradeoffs, requirements and opportunities for innovation.
  • Product Strategy: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define a product strategy that will win in the marketplace by delivering differentiated value to our customers. Define the product development roadmap and communicate the how and why behind it.
  • Tactical Execution: Organize and prioritize the engineering efforts required to bring the product to market, working with functional engineering teams, and other product owners to optimize resource utilization. Lead tactical execution of prototyping, development, and operational delivery of the product.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 4+ years experience as a Chief Engineer, Technical Program Manager, Product Manager, Engineering Manager, or Engineer of land, maritime, or airborne radars or other RF sensors
  • Demonstrated understanding of radar system design
  • Deep understanding of state-of-the-art radar technologies and radar for defense missions
  • Solid technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical designs, software development lifecycle, challenges and risks; ability to work closely and effectively with engineering teams.
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, across a wide range of technical comfort
  • Experience in shaping strategic pursuits and developing technology roadmaps.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with design and development of radar or other RF systems from concept to deployment
  • Graduate degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Software engineering, or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Travel 30% for customer, vendor, and internal collaboration.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with tools like JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience with modeling and simulation tools
  • Experience with developing and fielding novel hardware/software products
  • Strong technical, analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive decisions
  • Experience in delivering novel hardware and software solutions
