Familiarity with pasteurization equipment, pH meters, and sanitation systems is essential, and certifications like HACCP or food handler's permits are frequently required. Attention to detail, patience, and problem-solving skills set outstanding cheese makers apart. These abilities are crucial for ensuring product consistency, meeting safety standards, and producing high-quality cheeses that meet consumer demands.

What are cheese makers?

Cheese makers are professionals who specialize in the production of cheese from milk. They manage the entire cheesemaking process, including pasteurization, curdling, cutting, pressing, aging, and packaging. Cheese makers work in artisanal shops, creameries, or large-scale production facilities, and ensure the quality, flavor, and safety of the cheese.
