Description:
The Cheer Program Director is responsible for leading, organizing, and executing a youth cheer program that oversees all aspects of program planning, team development, scheduling, and community engagement. The Cheer Program Director works closely with coaches, volunteers, families, and local organizations to ensure a high-quality, inclusive, memorable and fun experience for all participants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Sports Ministry Director with cheer program creation
  • Organize volunteer coach information as it comes in
  • Assist with participant and coach data entry into system
  • Organize cheer uniform fitting that is coordinated with basketball player evaluations
  • Assist with team formation, practice schedules, and game schedules in coordination with the Basketball Program Director
  • Assist with organizing voice recordings with the recording team
  • Set up, tear down and organization for Game Day readiness
  • Work with the Ministry Operations & Technology Director in putting together game day voice recordings and music files
  • Help manage/organize communication to Cheer Site Managers, if needed
  • Onsite during game day performances; alternating site locations
  • Help organize/manage All-Star games, Tournament, and Awards Night. Including planning and ordering any supplies for these events
  • Weekly program communications with parents, participants and coaches
  • Must be available for evening and weekend activities during the season
  • Oversee the planning and execution of Cheer Summer Camp, including curriculum development, staffing, and daily logistics
  • Maintain and order all cheer supplies, uniforms, poms poms including working with Communications team for signage needs
  • Other related duties as assigned

  • Setup and breakdown of sports equipment may be required
  • Occasionally kneel, crouch, or climb ladders
