ACCEL Schools is hiring a Part-Time Food Service Worker at Eastern Panhandle Preparatory Academy in Kearneysville, WV.

Located on a 30-acre rural campus in Jefferson County, West Virginia, Eastern Panhandle Preparatory Academy is a public charter school serving PK-8th grade students. Founded in 2022 and one of the first charter schools to open in the state, EPPA belongs to the nationwide ACCEL network of high-performing charter schools. The school provides a highly individualized college prep learning environment featuring small class sizes, a fully certified and licensed faculty, and strong support from parents and the community.

About the Opportunity:

The Food Service Aide assists with lunch activities and helps to promote positive student behaviors in both academics and extra-curricular activities.ย  The Food Service Aide provides oversight to ensure student safety and a positive school climate.ย The Food Service Aide assists the School Leader and Teachers by administering the assigned duties in conformity with the philosophy and policies of ACCEL Schools, the assigned school, the school's governing board, the State Board of Education, and all applicable laws.

Responsibilities include-

  • Works cooperatively with the Teacher and others
  • Acts in accordance with directives from the Administrator (or designee) and teacher
  • Contributes to a positive climate and culture by exhibiting high professional standards

About You:

  • High school diploma required
  • Successful completion of BCI/FBI check
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • High quality written and verbal communication skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40lbs
  • Previous work experience working with youth or in a school setting desired
