Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of quantity food production, standard sanitation and safety practices and procedures related to the preparation, serving and transporting of food
  • Utilizing and supervising the use ofย  commercial food service equipment
  • Use the computer to communicate with sites, access information and place ordersย 
  • Estimate quantities needed and to order correct amounts for economical food service
  • Assist in requisitioning, receiving, and storing foods and supplies
  • Prepare, cook and bake a wide variety of food in large quantities
  • Lift moderately heavy items and stand for sustained periods of time
  • Supervise the operation of kitchen
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work
  • Maintain proper care of equipment andย ensure theย sanitation of the kitchen
  • Assist in inventory and maintaining records
Qualifications
  • Two years of experience in managing
  • Computer experience (microsoft excel, microsoft word)
  • Two years of experience in the preparation and serving of large quantities of food
  • High school diploma or GED
  • ServSafe Manager Certification
