What is a channel partner manager?

A Channel Partner Manager is a professional responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with a company’s channel partners, such as resellers, distributors, or agencies. Their main goal is to drive business growth through these partners by supporting them with tools, training, and resources. Channel Partner Managers collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure partners are aligned with company objectives and able to effectively sell products or services. Event Specialist

RDI Technologies

Knoxville, TN • On-site

Full-time

Posted 26 days ago

Job description

Are you ready to be part of something groundbreaking? At RDI Technologies, we are transforming the way industries see and solve problems with our Motion Amplification® technology. By turning ordinary video into a powerful diagnostic tool, we help companies across manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, R&D, and more detect unseen motion, prevent costly failures, and design better products.
Job Overview
This is a full-time, in-office position within our Marketing department in Knoxville, TN. As our Event Specialist, you will own the end-to-end logistics behind our North American trade shows and events, from scheduling and booth ordering to lead capture and post-event ROI reporting, plus the content calendar, setup, and logistics for our monthly webinar program. This is a behind-the-scenes, logistics- and campaign-driven role; no event travel is required. Your creativity and resourcefulness will aid us in promoting products, engaging with clients and partners, and inspiring confidence in our brand.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Managing our events calendar, including trade shows, speaking/keynote presentations, sponsorships, internal and external webinars, and Channel Partner events.
  • Owning our monthly webinar program: building and maintaining the webinar calendar, managing platform setup and registration, promoting each session, coordinating dry runs with presenters, and handling post-event follow-up. Presenters own their own content and slides.
  • Managing our trade show, event, and sponsorship schedule, project checklist, and processes. Feel free to improve them and make them your own!
  • Assisting with the development of event messaging and creative concepts.
  • Scheduling and booking event logistics, including booth space, meeting rooms, and housing for attending team members.
  • Purchasing and ordering booth space, electrical/utilities, display parts, signage, marketing collateral, and swag/promotional items.
  • Coordinating badge registrations and ensuring all event materials arrive on time.
  • Working with vendors to ensure timely and effective organization and execution - examples: booth builders, designers, electrical/utility providers, swag suppliers, shipping/logistics carriers.
  • Holding pre-event meetings and creating event briefs for each trade show.
  • Owning the creation and execution of pre- and post-event marketing campaigns, email sends, event landing pages, and follow-up nurture, in partnership with the broader marketing team.
  • Holding post-event meetings that review budget vs. actuals, cost per lead, and overall event ROI.
  • Ensuring all event contacts and leads are expedited and shared with the marketing team, and uploading lead lists into Salesforce campaigns.
  • Tracking all event expenses and processing payments and invoices.
Your Profile / What We Are Looking For
  • 2-5 years of experience in trade show/event planning and execution. Compensation reflected by level of experience.
  • You have a mix of creative and technical intellect and can work in a fast-paced environment.
  • You can manage ambiguity and uncertainty in your tasks and then navigate those situations with the help of your teammates.
  • You have a desire to develop industry expertise. We work in a high-tech industry, and over time, you need to know our business and our industry.
  • You can multitask and are detail-oriented, with excellent follow-up and time management skills.
  • You have or can develop strong project management and self-organizational skills.
  • Your role does not require you to be an expert in Motion Amplification®, but you must have an aptitude for understanding and translating technical information to best engage with our target personas.
  • You have an understanding of brand standards and can effectively uphold them.
  • Comfort owning marketing campaigns, email builds, landing pages, and follow-up sequences, not just event logistics.
  • Your education: BA or BS in communication, marketing, hospitality management, or a related field.
  • You have a working knowledge of social media, marketing automation, and design.
