Job description

What does Commercial Channel Manager Large Store do at Swire Coca-Cola?
Responsible for the development of commercial plans that drive Channel Look of Success for the large store channel of trade. Works with internal and customer teams to identify the highest leverage opportunities and communicate effectively with the sales team. Produce local commercial marketing opportunities & align brand resources. Develop POS order reviews, inventory, deployment, tracking & analysis of all in-outlet merchandising in support of Strategic LOS. Develop brand acceleration programs based on local and customer-specific opportunities. . Present Commercial updates at Division OR Meetings. Develop & present the "Are You Ready" meeting content for the trimester (innovation, big event marketing, etc.) to executive leadership, and to the Field Ops Teams.
Responsibilities:

  • Work with brand teams to build Look of Success framework (KO, Monster, Dr Pepper, Core Power, VEB) to understand and implement all brand programs and develop trimester plans maximizing the tools provided by the brand teams
  • Formalize channel Look of Success with input from Channel Lead present trimester LOS plans to executive leadership team as part of trimester planning strategy and build out channel monthly LOS recording deck for channel lead - Manage annual channel marketing budget
  • Review custom POS requests submitted by sales/ops teams and determine the appropriateness of the requests based on cost, usage and timeliness criteria. Move approved requests to graphic design team to ensure projects are completed in compliance with POS request process.
  • Collaborate with Channel Lead and Commercial Operations Manager to identify and obtain customer specific merchandising equipment develop and obtain customer/channel specific POS elements
  • Formalize and execute orders for merchandising equipment, premiums, and point of sale to support all channel pillar programs, work with CCNA counterparts where appropriate to obtain approvals on brand POS to ensure alignment with Coke’s guidelines
  • Ensure that POS arrives to sales centers on time and gets placed in market quickly and efficiently to minimize waste
  • Plan and conduct regular Key Account Manager Marketing Meetings to communicate trimester plans and conduct ongoing business, collaborate with National Retail Sales (NRS) team shopper marketing teams to ensure pillar program alignment
  • Steward development of consumer-facing sweepstakes thru Shopper Marketing Manager (rules/POS creation in compliance with laws and regulations) and handle administration and fulfillment of prizes
  • Build out and post sell sheets for brand/channel programs incremental to trimester LOS, create custom brand coupons and OBMs and manage redemptions
  • Collaborate with Asset Managers to develop chain-specific programs that not only fulfill contractual agreements with our asset partners, but also create value for our retail customers
  • Coordinate brand market blitzes with sales operations teams to ensure proper execution of key pillar programs and analyze results of program effectiveness and recommend solutions


Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED) with some college and relevant experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 6+ years general work experience required
  • 2+ years in the consumer goods/beverages industry preferred
  • Knowledge of channel strategy
  • Knowledge of key consumption occasions, shopper messaging, and methods of activation and ability to localize for customers
