PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Channel Manager is responsible for driving new business activity and increasing proposal volume through strategic channel partnerships and targeted distribution efforts. This role owns a national production quota tied to activity generation, qualified opportunities, and proposal flow.


Working closely with the Definiti Sales team, the Channel Manager develops and executes channel strategies, builds partner engagement, and generates qualified opportunities that support new business growth, while not being directly responsible for closing sales. 


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Own and manage a national production quota focused on activity generation, qualified opportunities, and proposal volume

Drive targeted outbound activity to build pipeline and increase proposal flow across channel partnerships

Develop and execute channel strategies and campaigns in partnership with the Definiti Sales team

Identify and prioritize high-potential wholesalers, advisors, and regional opportunities to accelerate growth

Engage and educate partners through outreach, training, and coordinated business development efforts

Partner with Sales to transition qualified opportunities into active proposal and sales processes

Track channel performance, opportunity flow, and proposal metrics to ensure consistent production against goals

Coordinate cross-functionally with onboarding, compliance, operations, and sales to support execution and client experience

Represent Definiti at industry events and partner meetings to expand presence and generate new opportunities 


Requirements

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

 High School diploma or GED required

 Bachelor's degree preferred

5+ years of experience in business development, channel management, or retirement/financial services

Experience working with advisors, wholesalers, or distribution partners preferred

Knowledge of defined contribution / retirement plan services strongly preferred

Experience using CRM or pipeline management tools preferred
