CFS stands for Container Freight Station, which is a facility where cargo is consolidated or deconsolidated before being imported or exported. At a CFS, shipments are either packed into containers for export or unpacked upon import before final delivery. These stations play a vital role in managing less-than-container-load (LCL) shipments and ensuring customs procedures are completed efficiently. They serve as an intermediary point between the shipper and the port, facilitating smooth logistics operations.
