Job description

Job Summary 

The Warehouse Technician supports CES Power’s event operations by receiving, maintaining, staging, and dispatching power generation, distribution, and HVAC equipment. This role is essential to ensuring all equipment is clean, tested, organized, and event ready for deployment to festivals, sporting events, film & broadcast projects, industrial sites, and disaster recovery operations. 

Primary Job Role 

Warehouse & Equipment Handling 

  • Load and unload generators, power distribution equipment, HVAC units, cables, and accessories 

  • Stage equipment accurately based on project requirements and load plans 

  • Secure loads for transport to ensure safe delivery 

Inspection, Cleaning & Maintenance 

  • Clean returned equipment and prepare it for redeployment  

  • Perform visual inspections to identify damage or missing components  

  • Assist with basic preventive maintenance and testing  

  • Tag equipment requiring repair or further inspection 

Inventory & Organization 

  • Maintain organized warehouse and yard areas 

  • Track equipment movement using inventory systems, barcodes, or tags 

  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of equipment 

  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits 

Event Support 

  • Prepare equipment kits per project power plans 

  • Support tight event timelines and changing priorities 

  • Assist with emergency or rapid response deployments as needed 

Safety & Compliance 

  • Follow OSHA and CES Power safety policies 

  • Use required PPE (steel toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, etc.) 

  • Participate in safety meetings and forklift certifications 

  • Maintain a clean and hazard free workspace 

Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent  

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and perform physical labor  

  • Basic mechanical aptitude  

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions  

  • Strong attention to detail and reliability  

  • Valid driver’s license 

Working Environment  

  • Work is primarily performed in well ventilated, sometimes noisy repair shops. 

  • Full time or seasonal positions depending on event schedule  

  • Overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required  

  • Fast paced, industrial warehouse and outdoor yard environment
