About the role

Reporting to the Group Manager – Retail Commercial & Credit Portfolio, you'll be the end-to-end commercial owner for Community Energy Services (CES) with over 487k customers & $100m EBITDA. Working closely with senior leaders across the business, you'll shape commercial strategy, optimise pricing and portfolio performance, and use commercial insight to drive sustainable growth, protect value and influence key business decisions.


What you'll be doing

  • Helps steer the commercial strategy for the CES portfolio , translating priorities into clear initiatives and measurable outcomes.
  • Develop and optimise pricing, retention and commercial offer strategies to maximise margins & portfolio performance.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and portfolio risk to identify growth opportunities and protect value.
  • Deliver commercial analysis & translate to practical recommendations that support strategic and executive decision-making.
  • Frames options, trade-offs and recommendations for complex commercial questions requiring senior alignment.
  • Identifies emerging commercial risks and escalates with a clear, evidence-based recommendation and a defined 'so what'.
  • Partners with CES leadership, Finance and key stakeholders to influence decisions and deliver commercial outcomes.

You're a commercially minded professional who enjoys solving complex business challenges and influencing strategic decisions through data and insight.


You'll bring

  • Experience in commercial strategy, pricing, portfolio management or retention within a complex or customer-focused industry.
  • Strong commercial judgement and ability to bring structure, clarity and pace to ambiguous issues.
  • Proven ability to influence and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including experience using modern analytics and AI-enabled tools to support decision-making.
  • A proactive, outcome-focused mindset that moves issues from analysis to decision and action.
