Corporate Controller:
The US Shared Services Controller is responsible for the centralized accounting and finance operations including procure to pay (A/P, T&E), order to cash (billing, credit, collections, cash application and record to report (GL, reconciliations, fixed assets) for multiple business units. Also responsible for ensuring efficiency and accuracy of month end close, strong internal controls, and compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
Primary Job Role
Accounting:
Lead and manage the shared services accounting teams (AP, AR, Accountants, cash application, billing, fixed assets, CAPEX and G/L)
Responsible for the monthly close activities within shared services including close calendar, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals in accordance with US GAAP and reporting to the Global Corporate Controller.
Complete monthly variance analysis of actual expenses vs. prior month/year and budget.
Collaborate with FP&A team on completing month end reporting, forecasts, and annual budget.
Manage and ensure Accountant coordinates effectively with rental coordinators, project managers and other operational team members to ensure accounting for Events and processes for A/P and A/R are complete and accurate on a weekly/monthly basis.
Complete 13 weeks cash flow forecast in support of Corporate need.
Establish, monitor and continuously improve internal controls and standardized processes across shared services, ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies.
Record revenue for the company each month including review with the Global Corporate Controller and CFO and by job comparison to the Revenue Tracker.
Record and assess Cost of Goods Sold expenses for the company each month including review with the CFO.
Oversight for Lease accounting (ASC 842), maintain NetLease accounting system
Coordinate with insurance broker and Financial Management for commercial insurance annual renewal
Be prepared and available to address any Ad Hoc projects for the internal/external reporting as needed by the CFO, CEO or other departments in the company.
Coordinate with Global Corporate Controller and other internal team members to ensure audit requests are satisfied and turn around follow-up questions timely.
Leadership:
Provide clear expectations, regular check-ins, coaching and performance evaluations to staff
Ensure staff are aware how their roles contribute and roll up to organizational goals and objectives and job duties are aligned to support business outcomes
If applicable, hold performance conversations with staff and partner with HR to ensure all team members are meeting performance expectations

Education and Experience
Formal Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related area of study
Experience: 7 or more years
