Job description

An inpatient pharmacy opportunity is available at a hospital near South Bend, IN, offering a 13-week contract starting June 1. Two clinical pharmacists are needed to support inpatient services with shifts as follows:

  • Days: 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Days/Evenings: 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
This role requires proficiency with Cerner order verification, specifically Cerner Meds Manager, along with experience using Cerner EMR, Pyxis, and Pharmacy Keeper systems. Candidates will be engaged in hospital-based medication distribution, including IV antibiotics, IV anticoagulants, and IV electrolytes, as well as IV room preparation.
Desired Experience:
  • Familiarity with inpatient pharmacy hospital distribution services
  • Hands-on use of Cerner EMR and Cerner Meds Manager Order Verification
  • Knowledge of IV medication preparation and hospital medication protocols
  • Experience working in a hospital inpatient pharmacy setting preferred but new graduates with Cerner order verification experience are encouraged to apply
Qualifications:
  • Must demonstrate proficiency with Cerner order verification
  • Ability to work within a hospital pharmacy environment
  • Reside at least 50 miles from the facility location near South Bend, IN
