Job description

A Brief Overview
The Central Scheduler is responsible for managing patient appointments, answering patient inquiries, and ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care with excellent customer service.
What you will do
  • Answers the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette
  • Keeping abandon rate of calls to a minimum
  • Be courteous by providing attention to each patient who calls in
  • Register new patients and update established patient demographics, collecting insurance information, and entering any other important information needed into EHR
  • Working our referral spreadsheet and online appointment requests
  • Maintaining faxes and returning voicemails from patients
  • Other tasks assigned to you from management

Education Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Experience Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year relevant experience of patient scheduling preferred
  • Minimum of one year relevant experience of insurance verification preferred
  • Minimum of one year relevant experience with financial clearance
  • Minimum of one year relevant experience with cerner scheduling a plus

Compensation:
Hourly Range - $16.34-$24.52
Incentives:
Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentive based on company policies and applicable job codes. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.

Potential for a performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics. Details regarding bonus eligibility and performance goals will be provided during the interview process or upon hire.
