Compensation: $103,100 - $170,100 / year
Description
Serving Tustin, Santa Ana and other surrounding communities, Foothill Regional Medical Center is a fully accredited acute care hospital, licensed for 177 beds-120 beds for general acute care, 15 intensive care beds and 42 pediatric sub-acute beds. Our surgeons are supported by state-of-the-art robotics.
We're seeking a Clinical Informatics Analyst to lead and participate in the planning, development, implementation, training, evaluation of use, and optimization of clinical information systems.

What You'll Do
Builds, tests, implements, and supports computer applications and healthcare information systems that drive organizational business operations and clinical initiatives.
Serves as the primary internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, providing leadership in system implementation, optimization, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance.
Leads and supports EHR deployment projects, ensuring successful adoption, system enhancements, workflow integration, and long-term performance improvements.
Acts as a liaison between Information Systems, clinical staff, and hospital leadership to facilitate effective communication and alignment of technology solutions with operational needs.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to analyze clinical and business workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and configure EHR functionality to enhance efficiency, compliance, and patient care outcomes.
Provides end-user support, training, and guidance to maximize EHR utilization and ensure a positive user experience.
Partners with stakeholders to develop and implement strategic technology initiatives that support both short-term operational goals and long-term organizational objectives.
Evaluates system performance and recommends enhancements to improve workflow efficiency, data integrity, regulatory compliance, and overall clinical effectiveness.
Qualifications
• Five (5) years' experience in clinical system implementations (EMR, Ancillary, Reporting Analytics, Clinical Quality, etc.)
• Working knowledge of clinical operations in an acute care setting
• Experience and knowledge with clinical reporting, analytics, and dashboard development.
• Knowledge of change management, IT hardware, and project management
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and ARRA Meaningful Use requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to multitask and maintain a work pace appropriate to workload
• Ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment
• Provides after hour and weekend support as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of CPSI/ EMR incluing Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), MEDITECH Expanse, CPSI, or other acute care EHR platforms
• Experience supporting CMS, Joint Commission, quality reporting, patient safety initiatives and project management.
