Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Cerner Millennium CCL and Data Transformation Lead to support enterprise Electronic Health Record (EHR) migration and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Cerner Millennium environments, Cerner Command Language (CCL), Oracle-based data extraction, and healthcare data transformation processes.


This role will work closely with clinical stakeholders, informatics governance teams, and technical delivery teams to translate clinical and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions for reporting, analytics, data migration, and legacy system retirement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, analyze, and document clinical workflows across inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary care settings.
  • Translate clinical and operational requirements into technical specifications for data extraction, reporting, and analytics solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, optimize, and maintain Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts within Cerner Millennium environments.
  • Perform complex data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and transformation activities from Cerner Millennium Oracle schemas.
  • Support enterprise-wide EHR migration, reporting modernization, and legacy system retirement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain structured data feeds, flat-file extracts, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve CCL performance issues and downstream integration or reporting challenges.
  • Collaborate with clinical informatics teams, business stakeholders, and technical delivery teams to ensure accurate implementation of clinical workflows and reporting requirements.
  • Communicate technical constraints, data dependencies, and data quality limitations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Execute and tune CCL scripts, manage batch jobs, and support both production and non-production environments in compliance with organizational standards.


Required Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Cerner Millennium environments.
  • Extensive experience developing and optimizing Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts.
  • Strong Oracle SQL and healthcare data extraction experience.
  • Experience supporting EHR data migration and legacy system retirement initiatives.

  • Experience with ETL development, flat-file generation, and structured data feeds.
