Oracle/Cerner Millennium
Position: Fulltime
Location: Remote
Job description:
  • 3+ years supporting healthcare IT in a clinical, operational, or analyst capacity, with significant exposure to laboratory operations and workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Cerner Millennium, with preference for PathNet and lab-related workflows.
  • Experience supporting EHR/LIS implementations or migrations, including requirements, testing, go-live support, and sustainment. Working knowledge of interfaces/integrations and ability to collaborate on troubleshooting (including HL7 concepts and lab result flows). Strong communication and facilitation skills; proven ability to work with clinical leaders, laboratorians, and technical teams.
  • Experience producing clear artifacts: workflow maps, requirements documentation, test evidence, decision briefs, and status reporting. Experience providing PMO (Project Management Office) support.

  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience supporting modernization programs in federal or large enterprise environments (multi-stakeholder governance, structured change control). Familiarity with reference lab connectivity and vendor coordination (e.g., LabCorp/Quest).
  • Experience with Cerner PowerChart components used in care delivery workflows (e.g., mPages, PowerForms, Event Set Hierarchy).
  • Certification(s) in Oracle Cerner/Millennium solutions. PMO/project leadership credentials (e.g., PMP; Agile/Scrum).
  • Background in lab quality/regulatory support (e.g., CAP readiness, SOPs, audits). Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
