Job Description

Trilliant is seeking a Payroll Manager who will ensure employees are paid promptly and accurately. This is an individual contributor role. The ideal candidate for this position would have experience with Dayforce, excellent proficiency in MS Excel, good knowledge of payroll concepts, and experience processing payroll globally.

Position Responsibilities
  • Process and manage full payroll cycle, bi‑weekly and monthly payroll for exempt and non‑exempt employees using Ceridian DayForce.
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain and audit employee payroll data, including earnings, deductions, taxes, benefits, garnishments, and time‑keeping inputs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries, resolving issues, and responding to escalations with professionalism and clarity.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks under strict deadlines and with appropriate prioritization.
  • Process and maintain relevant paperwork associated with new hires, terminations, employee transfers, and leave of absence.
  • Calculate vacation and time off and maintain records in the payroll system.
  • Prepare and review payroll reports, reconciliations, and variance analyses for internal stakeholders and finance close activities.
  • Prepare all payroll‑related government and non‑government remittances.
  • Process year‑end payroll, including auditing and balancing reports and year‑end statements.
  • Prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions using DayForce Reports.
Position Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with an automated payroll system, preferably Ceridian DayForce.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic accounting principles required.
  • Experience in all facets of Payroll & Benefits Administration.
  • Experience using an electronic payroll processing system, either in‑house or third‑party.
  • Strong MS Office skills with an intermediate level in Excel.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and extremely detail‑oriented.
  • Possess initiative, creativity, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
Education/Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
