Job Summary

Central Dispatchers have the "I Got This" attitude as you balance multiple tasks simultaneously. Self -Development is vital for Central Dispatchers as they learn about aggregate products, the unique capabilities of trucks and possess an excellent sense of geography & haul routes. They have excellent time management skills -managing a fleet of 50-60 trucks, taking all customer orders, and providing exceptional customer service. They are flexible as they support the weighmaster position and other departments in the company.

What Central Dispatchers Do

  • They identify, manage, and create new orders based on in-bound calls and accepted quotes.
  • Visually identify loaded products.
  • Ensure proper billing and accurate accounting in reviewing daily scale tickets.
  • Work with the accounting manager to collect and organize all COD payments.
  • Support our team members at the other scale operations, the weighmaster position, and clerical tasks.
  • Support the Sales Manager, creating orders & quotes, and assisting with quote follow-up.
  • Have the functional and technical skills of LSP products and their applications

  • Comfortable working with higher management as they support the CFO in managing payments of 50-60 trucks through Certified Truckers.
  • Knowledgeable in identifying & managing new trucks and customers' empty weights.

Working Environment

Up to 100% of time spent in an office with exposure to manufacturing environments around industrial equipment. The environment will be dusty and, at times, experience loud noises with exposure to miscellaneous industrial odors. Work does not require travel within the day but may require the coverage of similar positions at other locations. Hours are flexible and based on the needs of the customer; generally, 6 am until 5 pm Monday through Friday, and 6 am until 12 pm Saturdays.

Lannon Stone Products is a dynamic and ever-changing operation, requiring flexibility amongst our team members. Traveling between company sites is an essential part of the job; therefore, each team member needs to be able to reliably travel to be qualified for the position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Math, reading, and writing skills (English at minimum, Spanish is a plus)
  • Professional written and oral communication
  • 2+ years in a fast-paced customer service position
  • Expertise with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel,  and Google Drive
  • Punctual and reliable, excellent attendance required
  • Maintain a clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Embrace a team environment where all members contribute to the success of the operation
  • Willing to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, learning and performing a variety of jobs
  • Must past pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • Valid WI driver’s license with a clean driving record

Physical and Mental Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to sit for long periods and occasionally crawl, climb, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift (50 lbs.). 

Must be able to understand issues, problems, and opportunities and make timely, sound decisions. Take responsibility for decisions, understand the impact and implications, and provide feedback as necessary. Communicate with other employees and customers, perform an assortment of administrative tasks, and have personal management skills. Possess advanced customer service skills, and the ability to develop professional relationships with customers and employees. Demonstrate attention to detail, exert high effort, and focus on very busy days. Must be able to make sound decisions and remain calm under high-pressure situations. Must continually identify personal knowledge and perspective gaps and self-educate.
