  • Perform tableside service including presentation, opening, decanting, and pouring of wine in accordance with fine dining standards
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the club's wine, spirits, and beverage offerings, including provenance, tasting notes, and pairing rationale
  • Manage cellar inventory, storage conditions, and stock rotation to protect the integrity and value of the collection
  • Source and negotiate with distributors and vineyards, staying current on allocations, futures, and emerging regions/producers
  • Set and manage wine program pricing, margins, and budget in coordination with management
  • Build and maintain member profiles regarding wine preferences, past purchases, and cellar/locker holdings (where applicable)
  • Host and lead wine tastings, dinners, and educational events for members
  • Train and mentor service staff on wine knowledge, service technique, and pairing suggestions
  • Uphold strict discretion and professionalism regarding member preferences, spending, and private cellar arrangements

  • Deep knowledge of global wine regions, varietals, vintages, and production methods
  • Strong palate and demonstrated tasting/evaluation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the poise to engage confidently with discerning members
  • Business acumen for inventory management, purchasing, and cost control
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining warmth and professionalism
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by club operations
  • Responsible alcohol service certification (as required by local jurisdiction)
