Job description

Job Title: Coupa CCW
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Functional Responsibilities:
  • Design, configure, extend the complete contingent workforce lifecycle from demand
  • intake through requisition creation, approvals, onboarding, time tracking,
  • extensions, and offboarding, ensuring compliance, auditability, and operational
  • efficiency across all stages.
  • Translate business workforce demand into structured requisitions by analyzing role
  • requirements, cost centers, project needs, and sourcing strategy, while ensuring
  • alignment with workforce planning and budget availability.
  • Configure and govern approval workflows to ensure requisitions are routed based on
  • organizational hierarchy, spend thresholds, geography, and job categories while
  • minimizing delays and ensuring compliance with internal policies.
  • Manage onboarding processes by coordinating system access, background
  • verification triggers, supplier validation, and worker assignment setup to ensure
  • contractors are fully operational within defined SLAs.
  • Configure, Design time entry and approval cycles by ensuring accurate submission,
  • manager validation, exception handling, and integration with downstream payroll
  • and invoicing processes.
  • Enforce contract compliance by validating rate cards, contract duration limits, legal
  • clauses, and ensuring alignment with procurement governance standards.
  • Establish and manage supplier onboarding processes including validation of tax
  • documents, banking details, compliance certifications, and system access setup to
  • ensure supplier readiness.
  • Align design of contingent workforce processes with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) operations
  • by ensuring accurate mapping of requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and cost
  • allocations.
  • Design, develop and implement validation rules for budget checks, GL coding, rate
  • enforcement, and invoice reconciliation.
Technical Responsibilities:
  • Configure Coupa workflows using business rules engine to implement conditional
  • approvals, dynamic routing logic, validation checks, and automated decision-making
  • processes across CCW modules.
  • Design and maintain custom fields, forms, and data structures to capture workforce
  • attributes, supplier details, job requirements, and compliance metadata within the
  • platform.
  • Optimize system usability by improving requisition interfaces, reducing manual steps,
  • and enhancing automation to improve adoption and efficiency.
  • Design and implement integrations between Coupa and HR systems such as Workday
  • to synchronize worker master data, positions, and employment lifecycle events.
  • Integrate Coupa with ERP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA Cloud to ensure seamless
  • purchase order creation, invoice processing, and financial reconciliation.
  • Implement middleware-based integration solutions using platforms such as Apigee,
  • MuleSoft and Dell Boomi to enable scalable and reliable data exchange across
  • systems.
  • Develop and manage API-based integrations using REST and SOAP protocols while
  • ensuring secure, validated, and efficient data transfer between enterprise
  • applications.
  • Implement data transformation, mapping, error handling, and retry mechanisms to
  • ensure integration stability and data consistency across systems.
  • Define and maintain enterprise data models for contingent workers, suppliers,
  • requisitions, and financial transactions to ensure consistency and scalability across
  • systems.
  • Ensure data quality through deduplication, validation rules, and reconciliation
  • processes between Coupa and integrated enterprise platforms.
  • Support data governance initiatives by enforcing standards for master data
  • management and ensuring traceability of all workforce-related records.
  • Develop operational and executive dashboards using Coupa Analytics and BI tools
  • such as Tableau or Power BI to provide visibility into workforce spend, performance,
  • and demand trends.
  • Configure role-based access controls to ensure secure and appropriate access for
  • hiring managers, suppliers, HR teams, and finance stakeholders.
  • Manage system testing cycles including functional testing, integration testing,
  • regression testing, and user acceptance testing across multiple environments.
  • Ensure production stability by validating post-release functionality and monitoring
  • system behaviour after deployments.
Required Qualifications:
  • Coupa certification in CCW, P2P, or advanced platform administration.
  • Experience in global enterprise environments with multi-region workforce
  • compliance requirements.
  • 8 12+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS procurement or contingent workforce
  • systems, including extensive hands-on expertise with Coupa CCW and P2P modules
  • across global implementations.
  • Strong functional expertise in contingent workforce management, including
  • requisition lifecycle, SOW governance, supplier management,
  • onboarding/offboarding, and workforce compliance processes.
  • Proven technical experience designing and configuring enterprise workflows,
  • business rules, custom fields, and approval routing logic within SaaS platforms.
  • Hands-on experience integrating enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs,
  • middleware platforms, and file-based integrations.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working in consulting or large-scale transformation programs.
