Position Overview:
VCPG is seeking a professional, dependable, and highly motivated Armed Security Officer for a full-time overnight residential security assignment in Atherton, California. This is not a passive "observe and report" position. Successful candidates must demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, accountability, and a service-oriented mindset while maintaining a visible yet respectful protective presence in a luxury residential environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide armed security for a private residential property during overnight hours.
  • Conduct scheduled patrols of the residence and surrounding grounds.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized visitors, vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain situational awareness and proactively identify potential security concerns.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and suspicious activity.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, guests, vendors, and fellow team members.
  • Follow all California laws, BSIS regulations, and VCPG Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain weapon discipline, professional appearance, and uniform standards at all times.

Required Qualifications:
  • Valid California Guard Card.
  • Valid California Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) Permit.
  • Associate degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Clean professional background suitable for an armed residential security assignment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain alert, attentive, and professional during overnight shifts.
