Job description

I'm partnered with a highly respected commercial construction firm that is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its growing team in the Wilmington, Delaware area. This organization has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across multiple sectors.

What you will be doing:


  • Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare comprehensive estimates.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
  • Develop detailed project budgets and bid packages.
  • Analyze project risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operations, project management, and preconstruction teams.
  • Maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners.
  • Participate in bid reviews and project handoff meetings.
  • Monitor market pricing trends and material costs.


What you need for this position:


  • 5+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction.
  • Experience working for a General Contractor.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
