Responsibilities/Job Description:

Fairview is seeking a 1.0 FTE Board Eligible/Board Certified Psychiatrist to join our growing Behavioral Health service line in an innovative hybrid role combining outpatient programmatic behavioral health care and Collaborative Care Psychiatry Services (CCPS). This position offers a unique opportunity to practice across multiple outpatient care settings and provide meaningful support for patients with complex behavioral health needs. The role includes approximately 0.60 FTE supporting outpatient programmatic psychiatric care at M Health Fairview Adult Addiction Intensive Outpatient Program - Burnsville, MN, plus a 0.40 FTE supporting the M Health Fairview Collaborative Care Psychiatry Service (CCPS) in Edina, MN. This is an innovative and rewarding practice model designed to expand access to psychiatric care and improve mental health services across the communities we serve.

Practice Details

  • Outpatient Programmatic Psychiatry Care .60 FTE (Burnsville, MN)
    • Adult Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
    • Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP)
    • Recovery Services/Substance Use programming
    • Team-based treatment focused on psychiatric stabilization, medication management, psychotherapy support, education, and skill development
    • Opportunity to participate in growth and development of behavioral health programming and future service initiative
  • Collaborative Care Psychiatry Service (CCPS) 0.40 FTE (Edina, MN)
    • Primary Care Providers refer patients based on diagnostic questions, complexity, instability, or need for specialty psychiatric consultation
    • Complete psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and provide short-term medication management and stabilization
    • Develop treatment recommendations and transition patients back to referring PCPs for ongoing psychiatric management when appropriate
    • Serve as a psychiatric consultant for Fairview primary care providers through direct collaboration and shared EMR workflows
    • Participate in regular multidisciplinary psychiatric consultation meetings
    • Collaborate with Behavioral Health Clinicians and specialty mental health providers across the M Health Fairview system

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME Psychiatry Residency Program
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
  • Addiction Medicine training or experience preferred
  • Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota medical license
  • DEA license or ability to obtain
  • Meets threshold criteria for credentialing and privileges
Qualifications:

$298,244 - $331,383 Annual *based on full time (1.0 FTE)
