IT Business Systems Analyst
Sacramento, CA
6-12 months
Client is looking for a responsible business analyst to work with business process owners and application developers to define areas of improvement and capture related requirements, document systems, write reports and test software solutions that improve business processes. Some processes require observation of maintenance and operations staff in the field.
Required Skills:
5+ years of business analysis, project management, and end-user interaction
3+ years of implementing information technology projects and/or products
Working knowledge of Project Management and Business Analysis practices in alignment with PMBOK / BABOK, CCBA or CBAP certified a plus
Problem solving and system troubleshooting
Exceptional customer service foundation and practice
Exceptional communication skills with a passion for writing
Ability to work in high speed, demanding environment
Software experience preferred:
Nexgen Asset Management
Atlassian Confluence and Jira
Izenda/Logi/Tableau/SSRS reporting
Desired Skills:
Water Purveyor/Utility
Government service/processes experience
Bachelor's Degree a plus
Responsibilities:
Learn the Nexgen vended system capabilities and administration
Learn to create reports in the Nexgen reporting system
Elicit, develop, organize, document and simplify requirements
Analyze and provide status reports on maintenance activities, KPIs, and asset failure codes
Develop requirements analysis documentation for projects in the approval process
Develop project documentation including technical specifications and user guides
Develop and execute software test plans
Train users on software
Create as-is documentation for existing processes
