Job description

Under the supervision of the Manager, the incumbent serves as a Recovery Coach to support individuals in recovery within the community and in local emergency departments. This position is for a someone who is in recovery with at least one (1) year of continuous abstinence from substance abuse problems. The incumbent will serve as a recovery coach to support individuals in recovery from substance use disorder, including opioid use disorder, in hospital emergency departments and within MPTN community serving as a motivator, recovery resource broker, mentor and liaison. High School diploma or GED equivalent is required. Willingness to complete CCAR Recovery Coach training to include: certificates of completion of the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy, Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches, Spirituality for Recovery Coaches and Recovery Coaching in Professional Settings or have a CCAR certification. Must obtain required certifications within 6 months of hire. Must have basic knowledge and understanding of culturally sensitive needs of the population being served. A valid drivers license, insurance and reliable vehicle required. Must maintain a valid driver's license; must provide a yearly DMV Certified Driving History. Must have CPR and First Aid Certification. Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy and handle confidential and sensitive matters is essential.
