As we continue expanding rapidly, we are seeking an experienced financial leader to strengthen our financial infrastructure and support long-term growth.
Position Overview
The Controller is responsible for managing the financial activities of the company, maintaining fiscal records, and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded. This position will play a pivotal role in the long-term financial strategy of the company.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the operations of all accounting functions working with all managers to achieve their department's goals and objectives
  • Supervise, direct, and manage the company's financial activities, including procurement, budgeting, tax, and fiscal management
  • Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and forecasts for future business growth
  • Ensure that record systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards
  • Work with external auditors to ensure proper auditing processes
  • Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors
  • Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
  • Work with the payroll company including registering for Withholding Tax and UI IDs for each state with an employee
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions

Qualifications:
  • B. S. in Accounting or Finance
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and fiscal management
  • Proven understanding of financial reporting and tax laws
  • Excellent understanding of accounting software and administration skills
  • Understanding of the importance of confidentiality
  • Knowledge of all laws pertaining to accounting, tax, and reporting

Experience:
  • Controller or full-charge bookkeeper: 5 years (required)
  • Accounting: 5 years (required)

License:
  • CPA (preferred but not required)
