Job description

OBJECTIVE

The CBS Sales Executive (CBS SE) is a highly motivated, hunter-style sales professional responsible for driving new business growth in a productive, sales-focused environment.

This position manages the full sales cycle, from lead generation and prospecting through proposal development and closing. The CBS Sales Executive will build and grow a client base, develop recurring revenue opportunities, and identify additional facility service needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on building relationships, closing deals, and being rewarded for performance. The position offers a competitive base salary, uncapped commission potential, and the opportunity for high-performing sales professionals to earn a six-figure annual income.

The CBS Sales Executive will also identify and pass qualified Janitorial Services leads to the appropriate Sales Executive.

Essential Functions

  • Identify and qualify potential clients, leads, and referrals that result in new monthly sales.
  • Develop and maintain a strong base of clients for recurring and future sales opportunities.
  • Generate new business through field prospecting, marketing calls, networking, referrals, and other lead-generation activities.
  • Initiate the sales process by scheduling appointments, identifying account requirements, and conducting initial presentations.
  • Build rapport with prospective clients, explain City Wide's service capabilities, overcome objections, prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up throughout the sales process.
  • Conduct a minimum of 20 hours of field prospecting each week.
  • Complete a minimum of 200 marketing calls each week.
  • Present customized facility service solutions based on each client's needs.
  • Identify and pass qualified Janitorial Services opportunities to the appropriate Sales Executive.
  • Utilize and manage the customer relationship management system to maintain accurate client, prospect, activity, and lead information.
  • Maintain a positive and professional work atmosphere when communicating with clients, contractors, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements

This position will be measured using established sales goals and scorecard expectations, including:

  • Present 20 or more proposals each month.
  • Sell 10 or more new clients each month.
  • Pass at least one qualified Janitorial Services lead each month.
  • Achieve an annual sales goal of $720,000 in revenue.
  • Maintain accurate and consistent CRM activity.
  • Meet weekly field prospecting and marketing-call expectations.

Compensation

  • Starting base salary of $60,000 annually.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Two to three years of successful B2B sales experience preferred.
  • Proven history of generating new business and meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong hunter-style sales acumen.
  • Goal-driven, competitive, self-motivated, and comfortable prospecting for new business.
  • Prior professional sales training, such as Sandler, Dale Carnegie, or a similar program, is preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-up habits.
  • Ability to proactively identify challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple prospects, proposals, and follow-up activities at one time.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and related applications.
  • Experience using CRM systems, including Salesforce or a similar platform.
